Red Blok Dropship

November 3, 2007

Got the idea from a friend of mine to use a G.I. Joe Sigma 6 Dragonhawk as a dropship for At-43. I plan on painting this vehicle in Red Blok colors. Hopefully I will do some actual work on it and finish it.

  1. Excellent idea. I’m going to have to stop in to Toys R Us more often :-)

  2. Yep, I usually browse through the aisle at Toys R Us looking for items to use for wargaming. Some of the G.I. Joe Sigma 6 stuff makes great sci-fi vehicles.

  3. WOW ^_^

Are the new Confrontation and AT43 good ruleswise?

I had one or two games in before using Wolfen and found it a bit clunky. But maybe that’s just me.

The models are bloody pretty but I’m afraid of jumping in this hobby and pimping it locally, and then end up that people won’t bother for it T_T

  4. I’ve not played the new Confrontation rules but from what I read I like how it plays out. As for AT-43, I love it. I’ve played several games now and like it’s mechanics for a sci-fi game.

The initial jump to get in is always an issue. I mean why bother buying a game if no one will play it. Fortunately our local gaming community has an online message board where we post our interests. It helped me build up my Therian force by posting that I was willing to do a straight trade of my UNA from my starter for Therains from the starter.

I personally recommend this game. If you do get into it I wish you the best.

  5. We’re currently contemplating about Flames of War. Not being much of a WWII buff like the rest, I prefer the likes of Confrontation and/or AT43. Being prepainted will help, though, as it would mean lesser stuff to paint LOL ^_^

I guess I will just have to try it with my buds who regularly play at home. I’ll try to get some starters and see how it pans out.

    Thanks, dude!

  6. nice idea…can’t wait to see ya field this badboy
